About the Services - There are Two!
On Ash Wednesday, we have two services. At noon, we will gather in the Micah Chapel, and at 7:00 p.m. the service will be held in the Meetinghouse. The solemn season of Lent begins on Ash Wednesday. It is a time for reflection and prayer. The receiving of ashes is an ancient ritual of repentance which reminds us of our mortality and symbolizes our dependence on God’s steadfast love and mercy. The evening service will be livestreamed.
In addition, if you would like a prayer and a box of ashes to take home, you can call the church office (860-633-4641) and talk to Jenny. As we embark on this Lenten season, may you feel God’s abiding love.
