Dear Friends,

I have a question we are going to be wrestling with when we gather for worship on Sunday at 9:00 a.m.

We are told that God is ever-present with us, and yet we go through moments in life where we experience isolation and loneliness - struggling to sense God's very existence in our lives. What's a faithful Christian to do in these difficult moments when God feels absent?

Theologian Henri Nouwen said, "The more experience in living we have, the more we sense that closeness grows in the continuous interplay between presence and absence."

So, is struggling to perceive God a test? Is it a natural part of our experience with God? Is it something more than that? Join us on Sunday at 9:00 a.m. when we will discuss all this and more.

The bulletin, large print bulletin and announcement slides are available above. You can watch any of our livestreamed or recorded services on our YouTube channel.

Kindly,

Pastor Andrew

Our First Church family of faith enjoys worshipping together, and we hope you will join us! Our Sunday worship services are at 9:00 am in the Meetinghouse and livestreamed (and are also available for viewing later).
