Dear Friends,
For 331 years, the people of First Church have lived out their faith by practicing peace, leading with love, working for justice and encouraging others. How awesome is it that we get to be part of this faithful community? ❤
When violence erupts in our country and around the world, wars rage on, illness kills, political rhetoric insults and divides, depression wreaks havoc and children die from hunger and war, where do we turn to find hope? Where do we turn to know that we can make a difference in the world? We turn to our community where together we get to be faithful people praying, serving, working and encouraging others within our community and outside of it.
Even as our hearts are heavy with all that’s going on in our own lives and in the world, we come together to pray, sing, connect and share love. We hope you will join us for our ONE festive worship service this Sunday celebrating the church’s birthday at 10:00 a.m. in the Meetinghouse or you can watch online.

So, when the heaviness of the world threatens to consume, remember what our faith calls us to do – practice peace, work for justice, lead with love, discover beauty and share joy. At First Church, we do those things together now and will continue to for decades to come.
