UPDATE February 15
Dear Friends,
In light of the current winter storm, please join us for worship and fellowship remotely this week. This was not an easy decision for your church leadership to make, and we are sorrowful to let another Sunday pass without gathering together in person as a worshipping community. However, for the safety of our community, worship participants and staff, this is the right call given the weather forecast for tomorrow morning.
Acknowledging the possibility of a weather-related cancellation, on Saturday morning we pre-recorded this week's worship service to share with you all. Join us from the comfort of your own home this week for a timely and spirit-filled message of Good News by clicking on the video at the top of this message.
The bulletin, large print bulletin and announcement slides are available on our website. You can watch any of our livestreamed or recorded services on our YouTube channel.
We also hope you'll join us for a time of virtual fellowship on Sunday morning at 11:00 a.m. on Zoom by clicking the button below.
We pray you stay warm, dry and safe, and we ask for your prayers for our unhoused neighbors during this storm.
Sincerely,
Your First Church Leaders

Dear Friends,
Could you use some good news this week? Join us for worship at 8:00 and 10:00 a.m. on Sunday to disconnect from the chaos of the world for an hour and hear a message of hope and blessing.
You have heard it said that Jesus is the “Good News.” Jesus himself said that he came to proclaim the “Good News.” But what does that actually mean?
Maybe if we peel back the layers of vitriol and discontent in our world and our media, we can discover a different narrative – one of human flourishing and God’s grace. Maybe the news of what God is doing is so much bigger than the anxieties that entrap us. Maybe there are reasons to have hope, even now. Maybe, if we take the time to look and listen, we will find that Good News is blossoming all around us. Maybe seeking and finding Good News is a spiritual gift you need to cultivate right now.
We'll talk about all that and more on Sunday morning. I hope you will join us for worship on Sunday at 8:00 a.m. in the Micah Chapel, 10:00 a.m. in the Meetinghouse and online to get your weekly dose of Good News. I can’t wait to see you there!
The bulletin, large print bulletin and announcement slides are available on our website. You can watch any of our livestreamed or recorded services on our YouTube channel.
If our services are cancelled due to weather, a blast email will be sent out on Saturday to the congregation and a worship service cancellation notice will be posted in the top banner of our website, as well as on local television stations.
Kindly,
Pastor Andrew
